Pumpkins

I'm going to create pumpkins in this post. This a great project for this month since it is pumpkin season.

I'm going to delete the square and save as pumpkins.

I'm going to add a UV Sphere and change segment to 33.

Select the edges to make it look like an orange.

Press S to scale in.

Deselect the edges in the center. Do the same thing on the other side.

Do Ctrl B to bevel the edges.

Ctrl B again.

On one side of the pumpkin select the faces in the middle to make the top.

Extrude (E) the top a little.

Scale (S) in the top.

Extrude (E) the top.

Rotate (R) the top.

Extrude (E), scale (S) and rotate (R).

Extrude (E), Scale (S), and move it up a little.

Select a Knife tool to do the cut-outs. I press Enter every time I finish with a section and want to start a new cut. Select all the face that needs to be deleted.

Delete the faces.

Select the edges.

Extrude (E) the edges in.

Press B to make a square to select several vertices at a time.

Press O to bring up the bottom a little.

I also did the same thing on the top as I did on the bottom. Don't forget to save.

So I'm into mapping. I changed the material to orange.

Select faces for the top.

Adding new material to the top.

Assigned the new material to the faces that I selected.

Select the faces on the inside for the eyes, nose, and mouth.

Assigned the new material to those faces.

Walla, I'm done. Not perfect but good enough for a beginner.

I render it after playing around with a camera and different lights.

Thanks for visiting and have a good week.
